Layer33 Joins Pye as a Validator Partner

We're working with Layer33 and the independent validators they support as part of the early formation of programmable staking markets on Solana.

Pye is building financial infrastructure for validators on Solana, centered around Programmable Stake Accounts (PSAs), a new staking primitive that turns stake accounts into composable financial objects. PSAs enable stake accounts to be used across DeFi and trading venues, creating new revenue opportunities for both validators and stakers.

Independent operators are the backbone of Solana. Layer33 is an initiative to work with high-quality independent validators and ensure they have a place to access new opportunities as staking infrastructure evolves. Partnerships like this help ensure new staking infrastructure reflects the realities of smaller validator operations, not just large institutions.

Through this collaboration, stakers delegating to Layer33-supported validators will get access to Pye's upcoming staking and DeFi roadmap:

• Programmable staking (eg. fixed, variable rewards)
• Stake Account trading
• New validator revenue streams, including fees from stake account trading activity
• Participation in early DeFi pilots built on top of programmable stake accounts

What Comes Next

As the platform evolves, new validators are welcome to participate in stake trading pilots and contribute feedback on market structure and other DeFi opportunities built on top of stake accounts.
